Influencer Receives Criticism For Allegedly Trying To Gain Clout From Copying Actor Song Kang

An influencer who goes by the name of Oh Jae Hyung has recently come under fire for allegedly trying to copy and profit off the actor Song Kang, all while denying that he thinks he looks like the man. On his Instagram story, he reposted a news article that claimed he was a Song Kang lookalike, with the caption “Huh?

Oh has been consistently creating content based on Song Kang’s latest hit drama, My Demon. He dresses up like the star, in a black coat, and pretends to have demon powers.

His comments are filled with fans who are against him using Song Kang’s character as a theme. The matter is complicated, as he denies thinking that he looks like the star, while basing most of his content on Song Kang and the character to profit from views.

Netizen comments. | Instagram Ugh, cut it down. No, but please, cut it down LOL. Even Song Kang would look at this and cringe.

Although he claims he does not think he looks like the star, netizens pointed out that he consistently uses Song Kang’s name in the hashtags.

Netizen comments. | Instagram Netizen: It’s right that being handsome and not looking similar to Song Kang are two separate things, but even before you got famous as an influencer, in your earlier days of Instagram, you would use Song Kang in the hashtags. Although you already clarified this, now, you’re just outrightly trying to use being a so-called lookalike of Song Kang to gain more exposure. That’s kind of funny. I’m not arguing as his fan, but even as a passerby, you f*cking don’t look alike. Just looks like you’re desperate to look like him, so you’re copying him. Oh: I agree I don’t look like him! But since the responses to the contents were good, I made the videos for fun. It’s not like I’m trying to be like, “I look like Song Kang, please watch my videos lots!” It’s wrong of me if I brought harm to Song Kang or the drama, but I think it’s my own freedom to create the content I want to.
