After IZ*ONE finished their promotions, all the members went in different directions. While some chose to continue as idols, Hye Won gained attention by continuing with her acting and making it a full-time profession. Hye Won has appeared and will continue to act in many hit K-Dramas.

Recently, Hye Won held a fan meeting in front of a sold-out crowd. She shocked fans by bringing back “Idol Hyewon” by covering some dances, including aespa‘s “Drama,” Kwon Eunbi‘s “Underwater,” and more.

Sadly, while Hye Won was putting on the best show for fans, netizens started to send “hate” and “criticism,” claiming that she put no energy into the dance and wasn’t serving. In particular, it is linked to the hate she received in IZ*ONE, where netizens claimed she looked “bored” and “unbothered.”

this isn’t drama this is a mild misunderstanding https://t.co/Ezezt0yy4n

The comments were also extremely harsh.

Yet, netizens instantly came to the defense of Hye Won after multiple clips with very negative comments towards the star went viral. While some pointed out that Hye Won hadn’t done idol activities for a long time, others shared that the same people sending negative messages always advocate for idols’ mental health.

she apologizing on her last concert “i lack so much but thank you for everything” “u like me and think of me but i cant give anything back and it hurts to feel like i’m not good enough” n u guys still making fun of her?are guys out of your mind https://t.co/x9yy3YF0Ba

While Hye Won was once an idol, she now excels in acting. It seems unfair to continue judging her for covers when she just wanted to do something entertaining for her fans.
