Chungha Almost Retired From The K-Pop Industry

After achieving massive success as a solo artist, Chungha left MNH Entertainment and took a hiatus from being an idol. She told LACHICA‘s Gabee about how rough that time was and recently went into detail about who prevented her from retiring from the K-Pop industry altogether.

During an episode of Omniscient Interfering View (also known as The Manager), Chungha told Jay Park she’d been “burnt out” after leaving MNH Entertainment.

Chungha further revealed that she’d been extremely close to retiring from the music industry in favor of continuing her academic studies. She admitted, “So if it weren’t for you, I would be studying abroad right now.

But everything changed when Jay Park consistently advised Chungha about her situation. She slowly gained the courage to keep going and sign with Jay Park’s agency MORE VISION.

When you first contacted me a year ago, you just casually gave me advice. After hearing that I was thinking about it, you kept contacting me. You’re the CEO who contacted me the most.

If Jay Park hadn’t reached out to Chungha and been the support she needed, the idol wouldn’t have made a return to the industry.
