Young Black & Poor

Danny Brown stays true to his roots in his new video, “Y.B.P.”, co-starring Bruiser Wolf.

Directed by Edem Wornoo and William Child, the claymated clip centers Detroit rapper reflecting on his come up in the harsh realities of the Motor City.

“Detroit city, that’s where I live / Feels like “Poetic Justice,” you get killed at the drive-in,” he raps in from spots around the city to a few run-ins with the law. “Who gon’ front you some work? / Who gon’ front you some work? / We was fresh from the dirt, put you on a t-shirt.”

“Y.B.P.” is off Danny Brown’s Quaranta album which also features guests MIKE, and tracks “Tantor”, “Jenn’s Terrific Vacation” featuring Kassa Overall, and more.
