A certain Japanese idol can claim bragging rights to a unique achievement!
Kanna Hashimoto is one of the most famous J-Pop idols of all time. Ever since a photo of her dancing at an event in 2013 went viral, she was nicknamed “Once in a Thousand Years Idol” thanks to her charisma and cute appearance.
Besides being great at performing, she can also boast another talent, albeit a much more obscure one: tissue plucking.
In 2021, the then-22-year old singer appeared on the local show 130,000,000 People’s Show Channel. She challenged the record of “Most Facial Tissues Pulled Out of the Box in One Minute” in this recording.
Hashimoto needed to break the previous record owner’s 140 tissue pulls in one minute. To make things more difficult, she had to do so using only one hand.
Finally, it was confirmed that she pulled out 157 sheets in a single minute, surpassing the previous record by 17 sheets.
She thus plucked around three tissues per second from its box using just one hand!
Kanna Hashimoto later posted a photo of herself holding the plaque declaring her the world record holder for tissue plucking with one hand. She commented that she was happy that she could now say something unique in her self-introductions for future events and shows.

Several years since then, Kanna is now focusing mostly on acting, but her legendary status as an idol with a Guinness World Record holder remains!
