BTS RM’s “Extreme” Home-Cleaning Method Leaves ARMYs Confused

It seems that the more BTS‘s leader RM reveals his home to fans, the more amusing elements of his lifestyle keep spilling out.

RM

In the past few years, ARMYs have enjoyed the privilege of getting generous peeks at RM’s living space through his Instagram posts, vlogs, and livestreams. Usually, his house is noted for its museum-like interior, decked with countless art pieces in every corner.

But a few days ago, a glimpse of the BTS rapper’s house left fans utterly confused. In the new BTS documentary Beyond The Star, RM was shown picking his outfit from his closet, and a toaster-like piece of furniture in the corner left people puzzled. Later, it turned out to be a luxury watch holder.

Now, another scene from the new episode of the documentary showing RM’s house has fascinated ARMYs. In this scenario, the BTS rapper was shown cleaning his house as he talked about how difficult he found the task to be.

The clip reminded many fans of the old times when the BTS member shared a dorm, and RM would often get in trouble for not cleaning up after himself. The contradiction of that with his current self was amusing to them.

thinking about yoongi being pissed at namjoon for never cleaning when they lived together and his own place being squeaky clean pic.twitter.com/5Qk2RhbN2j

yoongi sitting there and talking about feeling betrayed by namjoon keeping his house clean when he never did that at the dorm is VERY on brand namgi behavior pic.twitter.com/OY3lnPXU07

Yoongi, watching this scene: ‘Oh you little shit’ (said lovingly enraged) https://t.co/ms93a3dAwM

Lol I was thinking this too during this part Namjoon saying he was sensitive to cleaning now and I swear I could hear Min Yoongi and Hobi saying “and where was this habit when we lived together???” https://t.co/V8xIo6P0Hg

However, some were left perplexed when they realized RM was using a lint roller on his floors to get the dust off! Lint rollers are commonly used to pick the dust off of materials such as clothing, upholstery, and linen. But using it to clean floors is something that most ARMYs were not prepared to see.

IS HE LINT-ROLLING THE FLOOR??? Or is this another rich-people thing i don’t know about, like his “toaster”. https://t.co/dyWA8zhPcU

While some labeled it an extreme level of cleanliness, others felt it was a genius hack when you feel too lazy to use a vacuum cleaner. Some other fans weighed in, pointing out that it is a common practice in places like South Korea, Japan, and China, and even professional housekeepers use this method for optimum cleaning.

lint rolling the whole floor is a little insane im not even gonna lie namjoon https://t.co/QjVrJ4Gkih

Housekeeper here….we use this after we’re done with everything else to make sure we got all the dust, hair, etc. There’s a point system at the hotel I work at because it’s a luxury hotel so if the guest finds a hair or anything like that they get either free room or free stuff

Lint rolling thing are normal, Chinese and Korean people use them regularly.

Well, ingenious or not, RM’s cleaning skills definitely deserve to be appreciated, and so does the fact that he takes the time to do such tasks by himself despite being such a busy celebrity!
