Welcome back to another instalment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.
What better way to ring in the new year than to showcase some timeless looks? Seventeen‘s Jeonghan and Blackpink‘s Jennie lean into the classic black and white photo while also capturing different aspects of this timeless editing style. Jeonghan went for interesting textures and shadows to contrast the smoothness of his shirt and the tactileness of his parted bangs. Jennie, on the other hand, went for an old photograph look, bringing a hazy dreaminess and a mysterious allure to this image for her Odd Atelier.
Of course, the editing of a photo isn’t the only element that gives it that “timeless” feel. Karina from Aespa and Suzy, for example, bring their makeup to the forefront. TVXQ and Bora from Sistar19 draw the attention wider and set the focus as the timeless cuts of their clothing and their no-fuss poses. But all of these photos capture that mystifying timelessness.
