NMIXX’s Haewon “Cosplays” As J.Y. Park

On November 24, 2023, J.Y. Park (also known as Park Jinyoung, JYP, or The Asiansoul) shocked everyone with his performance at The 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards (also known as The 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards).

J.Y. Park performed an unusual medley of his own songs and Western pop songs, and he even underwent an onstage wardrobe change, removing a white ballgown to reveal a purple jumpsuit. The entire performance left the actors in the audience stunned. Naturally, J.Y. Park’s performance went viral, with actors’ reactions becoming instant memes.

if I was jyp I would never perform again because my GOD pic.twitter.com/fA6guk5MaU

Yet, one of his company’s idols recently paid homage to his performance.

NMIXX‘s leader Haewon unexpectedly chose to pay homage and cosplay as her boss and producer J.Y. Park in the group’s new video, 2023 NMIXX Awards. Each member wore a unique look on the red carpet, but Haewon’s surely is memorable!

Haewon revealed that J.Y. Park’s iconic look did not just inspire the dress worn in the video. It was the same outfit he wore at The 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards! She asked his permission before borrowing it from the stylist.

they actually borrowed jyp’s exact outfit for haewon to wear

: we got jyp pd’s permission, went to his stylist manager and directly borrowed it there. it’s not something we made separately, we borrowed the actual outfit. thankfully they allowed it and i wore it well~ pic.twitter.com/kseiTFUAft
