Many K-Pop fans dream of running into their favorite idols by chance, but one TikToker is actually living that Y/N life. On her account, Han Songyun (@hankyute) shares storytime content about K-Pop encounters, her experiences as an LGBTQ+ woman, and more.
First of all, it should be noted that Han Songyun isn’t going out of her way to meet idols — but she keeps running into your biases anyway!
…I have never gone out of my way to actively go to the spots where I think Korean celebrities will be at, but for some reason, my life literally feels like a K-Drama.

While working at a club in Hongdae, Han Songyun said a tall Korean man wearing a face mask and a baseball cap approached her. He began speaking to her in Korean but switched to English to accommodate her. The man said, “I shot here earlier, and I actually need to get some of my stuff that I left inside.”

Han Songyun was happy to help him out, but first, she asked to see some I.D. The man became flustered and ended up leaving without showing I.D. or picking up his things.

And then he just like stands there awkwardly. I could feel the anxiety just palpitating from his skin. And then he straight up just lets out this awkward *ss giggle and goes, ‘Uh, never mind,” and then f*cking takes off in the other direction.

Fast forward to a couple of months later. Han Songyun was scrolling through a K-Pop fan page, and who did she see? None other than BTS! She immediately recognized the wall in the background of their SEASON’s GREETINGS 2022 photos as the wall from the Hongdae club.

I have literally scrubbed blood off of this exact wall.
— @hankyute
“There is a 99.9% chance,” she said. “that the Korean guy that I literally scared away earlier was definitely a member of f*cking BTS!”
