Fatou routinely holds live stream sessions on social media platforms to connect with her fans. Her broadcasts are usually laid-back, and the idol never shies away from speaking her mind, whether it be responding to unfounded accusations or showing her haters the exit door.

During her recent livestream, some fans posted comments about Palestine, which has been under violent attacks from Israel for the past 75 days, with over 25,000 civilian lives claimed and millions displaced. While most K-Pop artists have not publicly spoken about Palestine’s humanitarian crisis, Fatou decided to address it head-on.

Fatou read out a comment that said “Free Palestinians” and immediately responded, “Yes, of course,” adding, “Any decent human being would want that. Any human being that has a heart would want that.”

The clip has since gone viral on social media platforms, where fans and non-fans praised her alike for her support of the Palestinian people.

Fatou has enormous courage and nerve, I’m amazed. talk about a conflict that everyone avoids, that everyone is afraid to approach because those she wants to alienate are more powerful than death itself. Let’s hope there are no repercussions now. https://t.co/UPGDpJcW75

Fatou 🩷

I hope she does not suffer repocutions for this.

Also, again, tells me they know and they are aware. But with all the creativity in the world, somehow they ‘can’t say anything cause contracts’ still doesn’t seem like a viable ‘reason’ anymore. https://t.co/vwaaGtPeEJ
