Album: Bas ‘We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up’

Real shit.

Dreamville’s Bas spreads awareness on his fourth studio and conceptional album, We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up.

On this time around, the Sudanese-Queens rapper takes an introspective look at life and current events from “Ho Chi Minh” to his native land of “Khartoum” featuring Adekunle Gold. Elsewhere, Bas touches on heartbreaks on “Diamonds” and continues the international turn up in “Passport Bros” featuring J.Cole.

The 17-track set also features “Light Of My Soul”, “Black Jedi”, “Choppas”, “Yao Ming“, and more. J.Cole returns on the tracks “Home Alone” and “Paper Cuts”, while FKJ makes two cameos including “Risk” and “Wait On Me”. The album also boasts collaborations from Amaarae, AJ Tracey, Sha Sha, Blxckie and Ferg.

We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up is the follow-up to Bas’ Milky Way album in 2018. He soon released his Spilled Milk Vol. 1 EP the following year and most recently dropped his [Bump] Me Up EP in 2022.
