But what really cemented the performance into history was the hilarious reaction of the actors in the audience, whose expressions ranged anywhere from confused to shell-shocked.

The performance almost immediately became a source of jokes and memes on K-Pop Twitter, but there was also severe criticism about J.Y. Park’s live vocals. Throughout the performance, he sounded shaky and breathless, which, paired with the spectacles of his stage, turned it into a meme moment.
While most artists would avoid revisiting such an “embarrassing” performance, J.Y. Park has decided to tackle it head-on! He took to Instagram on December 5, KST, and shared a clip announcing his “revenge stage.”
The video was from his appearance on KBS2’s The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night with AKMU, and in the caption, Park wrote, “Conditioning is definitely part of the game. So, I had to do it again! Blue Dragon awards Revenge stage! ♡”
In the clip, he humorously tells the audience to spread the word that he will perform the same setlist as Blue Dragon Awards on the show.
If someone asks, ‘Hey, why did Park Jin Young sing like that during the Blue Dragon Awards?’, just tell them, ‘His throat was hurting then. He performed the same stage in ‘Long Day, Long Night with AKMU.’ Go watch it again.’ Please answer them like that.
— J.Y. Park
AKMU bursts into a chuckle hearing this, and repeats Park’s request to the audience, “Everyone, please tell the others about it.”
The clip then shows a brief preview of Park’s re-do of his Blue Dragon Awards stage, which he seems to be executing with much more precision and stability. The live audience can be seen enthusiastically cheering for him!
While the episode is slated to be broadcast on December 8, KST, reactions from netizens have already shown outpouring support and appreciation for J.Y. Park’s attitude toward this entire fiasco.
