Yang Hyun Suk Sentenced To Probation Following Appeals Trial For Blackmail Charges

Yang Hyun Suk has been sentenced to one year of probation following his appeals trial for his blackmail charges.

The Seoul High Court held an appeal hearing for Yang Hyun Suk on November 8. Yang Hyun Suk was previously indicted for violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Crimes, specifically for threats of retaliation and blackmail. Here, the court overturned the previously ruling that Yang Hyun Suk was to be acquitted of his charges. Instead, he was sentenced to one year of probation, with six months in prison should he violate probation.
