It was recently announced that girl group NewJeans and Riot Games’ new virtual band HEARTSTEEL will both perform at the Opening Ceremony for the League of Legends World Championship (also known as Worlds) in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday, November 19, 2023. The Opening Ceremony will kick off the biggest esports event of the year and the grand finale of Worlds.

NewJeans will perform their hit single “GODS,” which serves as the 2023 Worlds anthem. Elements of the music video will be brought to life onstage during the performance, alongside an exciting arrow of practical and technical effects.

HEARTSTEEL will perform their debut single “PARANOIA” live for the first time. HEARTSTEEL’s debut will be an action-packed, high octane performance that blends reality and League of Legends fantasy. The artists will be performing live onstage alongside their Champion counterparts in a seamless blend of performance and technology.

Both tracks have resonated strongly with fans. Both “GODS” and “PARANOIA” amassed over 20 million global streams in their first 7 days and broke into Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart.
