[K-Exclusive]: P1Harmony Live Tour in Australia

P1HARMONY brought their 2023 Live Tour [P1ustage H: P1ONEER] down to Australia & New Zealand, performing concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Members Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob showcased their talents through their charismatic performances channeling their hyper energy into the crowd.

The turnout for Melbourne’s concert on Wednesday 20th September at Festival Hall was outstanding with a number of dedicated P1ece’s camping out the night before to secure a barricade spot to see the boys up close and personal for the night’s show.

The lights dimmed and a glitched AI-like voice rang through the hall, “An unknown place, where nothing exists. Need. Breathe. Energy. Harmony. Who will take this place?” following bursts of smoke, fire, and sparks as the boys emerged on stage making P1ece’s go wild. They opened the night with ‘LOOK AT ME NOW (태양을 삼킨 아이)’, ‘BACK DOWN’, and ‘SCARED (겁나니)’ before their introductions and opening ment.

The audience screamed after every sentence spoken by Keeho as he welcomed everyone to their concert. He brought up that the group had ‘promised they’d always come back to Australia if they get the chance’ after their performances at Hallyupopfest in Sydney back in 2022 and that promise was proudly kept.

The day before the concert, talented P1ece’s spray painted a mural dedicated to P1Harmony in Melbourne’s famous graffiti hot spot, Hosier Lane. Theo mentioned that the group went down last night to take a look and it brought the group a lot of energy and encouragement for the show.

Finishing up their introductions, P1Harmony immediately belted out ‘ME TOO (나도 그래)’, surprising the crowd with their soft tempo track, followed by explosive performances of ‘THAT’S IT (이거지)’ and ‘END IT (끝장내)’.

Up next were solo/unit stages –

  • 21 (Dean) – Theo
  • Hug Me (Joonil Jung ) – Soul
  • Deja Vu (Beyoncé) – Keeho
  • Love Never Felt So Good (Michael Jackson) – Jiung & Keeho
  • Bow Wow (Original Rap) – Jongseob & Intak

After a quick outfit change, P1Harmony returned to the stage to perform energetic tracks ‘SECRET SAUCE’ and ‘FOLLOW ME’. It was mesmerizing to see everyone jumping up and down in sync with the song and all the different coloured lightsticks bopping through the sea of fans as metallic confetti rained down.

They then had a ment break where they competed against each other on who could get their side of the concert hall to cheer and scream the loudest. Safe to say that both sides cheered equally as loud. Continuing their setlist, they sang ‘GOTTA GET BACK’, ‘LOVE ME FOR ME’, and ‘DOOM BU DOOM (둠두둠)’.

Soul asked the audience to do our famous Aussie chant with him and he was extremely proud of the outcome after shouting “Aussie Aussie Aussie” and getting reciprocated with a tremendous “Oi Oi Oi” which put a huge smile on his face.

The whole room shook as everyone sang and jumped along to one of their most popular tracks ‘JUMP’. Before jumping into their next track, the boys taught fans how to wave their arms and shout “Do it like this!” when they shouted “Come on, wake up, 나를 따라” during fan favorite ‘DO IT LIKE THIS’.

The boys ending ment was sweet and touching as they wished everyone a safe journey home and that they were extremely thankful to the number of fans that showed up, promising to return again in the future. They said that the amount of energy from the audience didn’t change from the moment they walked up on stage until the very end. Keehoo recounted the past 2 days in Melbourne before the concert saying they had explored around and said that “we for sure fell in love with the city but after tonight I think we can probably say that we fell in love with the people too”, which touched everyone’s hearts.

“Thank you guys so much for giving us your love and energy and your attention and your support. We’re so glad and honored to be finally able to come out here and to be able to meet you guys in person. I know you guys have been waiting for a really really long time so thank you for accepting us with open arms and hopefully, we will be back very very soon, thank you guys so much”.

With a traditional concert group photo and final goodbyes, the boys wrapped up the show with ‘SWAGGER’, ‘MORE THAN WORDS’, & ‘AYAYA’, venturing down off the stage towards the crowd, taking selfies, accepting gifts, and giving lucky front-row fans close-up interactions.
